# Privacy policy

## Customers

When you buy a license we process your email address, company name, billing country, VAT or business registration number and the app ids you license. We use this to deliver and manage your license, to send invoices and receipts, to keep accounting records and to answer support requests. The legal basis is the contract with you and our legal obligations under Norwegian bookkeeping law. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as a separate controller for card data; we never see your card number. We keep accounting records for the period required by Norwegian law (currently five years) and license records for as long as the license exists.

## Sign-in links

When you sign in to the account page we email you a link that is valid for 15 minutes and set a cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. The cookie is strictly necessary for the account page.

## SDK telemetry

The SDK and its build tools send small anonymous reports to alpr.parkr.app:

- **Build time:** application id, platform, build type, SDK and framework versions, whether the build runs on CI, and the license state. Turn it off with the environment variable `DO_NOT_TRACK=1` or `ALPR_TELEMETRY=0`.
- **Runtime:** at most once per day per device: application id and version, platform, OS version, SDK and framework versions, build type, license state and the names of Pro features that were disabled. It is on by default only for apps without a license, and app developers can turn it off.

Telemetry never contains device identifiers, user identifiers, images or plate data. We do not store IP addresses with telemetry. We use it, based on our legitimate interest, to understand how the SDK is used, to improve it and to contact companies about licensing. Telemetry is aggregated per day and app id, and kept for up to 24 months.

## Processors

Cloudflare (hosting, database and email delivery) and Stripe (payments) process data on our behalf. Data may be transferred outside the EEA under the EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

## Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian data protection authority). Contact post@parkr.app.
